Who we are

Turtle Labs builds brands, tools, knowledge and marketplaces for a more intelligent and sustainable future, so people can grow without asking the planet to pay for it.

How this happened

We started as a branding and design firm in 2014, 12 years ago, with a vision to build businesses that share equal responsibility as a human. Since then we have supported businesses big and small with sustainable branding and design solutions across strategy, identity, digital experiences and growth.

Over time, the work showed us a bigger opportunity. People need more than a better brand: they need better ways to learn, grow a career, build a business, use their natural intelligence and choose products that do not trade away the future.

That is why Turtle Labs is growing into four connected ventures. Same responsibility, different front doors: Studio for branding and design, BrandOS for business growth, Natural Intelligence for learning, and US - The Useful Store for a fairer marketplace.

Brands impacted
Every brand Turtle Labs has worked on since 2014: strategy, identity, web, film, packaging and growth. Counted once each, whatever the size of the engagement.
Lives touched
People inside those businesses and the communities they reach. An estimate, and labelled as one.
Products endorsed
Products and services we have assessed and been willing to recommend. Separate from the Useful Store listing standard, which is stricter.
Brands scored
A different number, and a BrandOS one: 184 brands have run the free assessment. It measures usage of one product, not the group's work.

What the badge means

Every one of them carries A Turtle Labs company or A Turtle Labs product. That is not decoration. It means the promises on this site apply there too. If one of them breaks them, that is on us.
