What we promise you
We are about to start checking other people's claims. It would be a bit rich to do that without being clear about our own. Six promises. Hold us to them.
If we say it, we can show it
Every number on a Turtle Labs site has something behind it. If we measured it, the measurement is there. If we did not, we say so rather than guessing and hoping nobody asks.
Nobody buys their way in
No brand appears on one of our sites because it paid to. Where we stand to gain from something we are recommending, we say so on the page, not in small type at the bottom.
We collect far less than we could
No advertising cookies. No trackers. We ask for your name and email when we need to write back, and that is genuinely it. We do not buy contact data, sell it, or quietly fill in the gaps about you.
Everyone gets in
Keyboard navigation, visible focus, real alt text and readable contrast are built in from the start, not bolted on after an audit. If something here locks you out, tell us. We would much rather know.
Useful before it is listed
When Useful Store opens, a product is there because we checked it, not because someone paid to be visible. The standard is published before we have a single seller, so you can argue with it.
We say when we got it wrong
Find something inaccurate and we will fix it and leave a note saying we did. Quietly editing the page and pretending it always said that is not a correction.
Venture standards
Where a venture needs a standard of its own, it publishes one. The first is US - The Useful Store, whose proposition is fair selection and visibility for sustainable businesses:
Think we have slipped?
Tell us. info@turtlelabs.co.in. We reply within 30 days, and if you are right we fix it and say so on the page. No defensive email, no quiet edit.
